Care Farm Skills Training Programme - Willowdene

The Care Farm Skills Training Programme can be offered as a Specified Activity Requirement for 25 days, each consisting of seven hours, spread over a fourteen week period.  The programme, based at Willowdene Farm, offers a whole range of learning opportunities.  Offenders can choose to specialise in, for example, mechanics, woodwork, IT, plumbing, forestry operations, animal welfare and agriculture.

The emphasis of this programme is to get offenders ‘work ready’ and to achieve at least two nationally recognised qualifications by the end of the programme.  The programme is suitable for offenders who are at high risk of re-offending and substance misuse offenders.
