Attendance Centre

Senior Attendance Centres are available to the courts when sentencing individuals aged 18-24 years.  They are situated at Willowdene Farm, Chorley, Shropshire and at the YSS Vocational Training Centre, Carden Street, Worcester.

An Attendance Centre Requirement can be made as a stand alone requirement or combined with other requirements on a Community Order.  The Courts can also make an Attendance Centre Requirement for breach of other Community Orders.

Attendance Centres provide the courts with an option that not only punishes offenders by loss of their leisure time but also provides a disciplined learning environment.

An Attendance Centre Order or Requirement can be for a minimum of 12 hours up to a maximum of 36 to be completed in sessions of up to a maximum of 3 hours.

The curriculum covers education, training and employment, vocational skills such as horticulture, motor vehicle maintenance, construction and offence focused work, including a specific restorative justice perspective.
